Gov Ahmed roots for Saraki as Senate President

Date: 2015-04-22

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State yesterday, drummed up support for his predecessor, Dr Bukola Saraki as the next Senate President saying he was the most qualified for the position.

Ahmed spoke about Saraki, while  receiving the Certificate of Return for his re-election at the Independent National Electoral Commission’s, INEC’s, office in Ilorin, the state capital.

He said that Saraki was the best man man for the job given his sacrifice to the success of the All Progressives Congress, APC, through out the country in the just concluded general elections in the country as well as his rich political profile since he joined active politics.

He said, “We are grateful for our political leader in the state for guiding us aright. Indeed most of what we are witnessing today in the state and other parts of the country happened because our leader and others chose to stand up for change at a critical point in time in Nigeria. I am confident that when the time comes, Insha Allah you will emerge as the next number three man in this country.”
