INEC, NOA warn against electoral violence in Kwara State
The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) has strongly warned all the party agents involved in tomorrow's election against violating the electoral law, as NOA educated the electorate on voting procedure yesterday.
The Head of Operation, Kwara State INEC office, Mrs Dupe Obadofin gave the warning yesterday during a sensitisation organised at Oke Oyi by the National Orientation Agency(NOA), Kwara state office.
Obadofin while expressing dissatisfaction over the unlawful behaviours of some of the party agents in the state, added that such characters will not be condoned in tomorrow's election.
She said that all stakeholders in the electoral process have the role given to them by the INEC.' Our office received some distress calls in the last general election as a result of the problems created during the voting process by the party agents'.
In his address, the NOA Director in the state, Mr Felix Olowokere charged the people of the state on peaceful conduct of the elections, as it frowned at the some of the mistake made by some electorates during the process of casting their vote in the last Presidential and National Assembly elections.
