Kwara To Rehabilitate Bad Roads
Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State, has promised that the rehabilitation of the Kishi-Kaiama and Ilesha Baruba-Gwanara roads will soon commence to ease transportation challenges confronting the people of the area.
Ahmed made the promise, when he received Kwara North monarchs, who paid him courtesy visit at Government House, Ilorin to congratulate him on the recent awards he received in France.
He thanked the traditional rulers for their visit and assured them of his readiness to strengthen the existing relationship between his administration and the traditional institution in the state.
Ahmed attributed the success of his administration to the support given by traditional rulers and solicited their continued support toward the creation of an enabling environment for rapid socio-economic development in the state.
He further solicited the support of the monarchs in tackling issues relating to the youth, children and women development in the state.
The monarchs, led by the Vice Chairman of Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Umar, lauded the governor's development initiatives and people-oriented programmes.
They also commended his achievements in the areas of health, education and youth empowerment.
They expressed their support for his second term bid, hoping that his re-election would help to ensure even delivery of dividends of democracy across the different parts of the state.
