2015: Jonathan deserves re-election - PDP chieftain

Date: 2014-10-20

Nigerians have been urged to continue to applaud the efforts of President Goodluck Jonathan towards ensuring the achievement of transformation agenda for the betterment of the entire citizenry by supporting his re-election in 2015.

A chieftain of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State, Alhaji Akeem Dare, disclosed this yesterday while speaking with Nigerian Pilot in Ilorin.

He pointed out that with the excellent performance of President Jonathan there is every need for Nigerians to rally round him to further ensure his re-emergence as the nation’s president in 2015.

The party chieftain who is also an aspirant to the Kwara State House of Assembly further said that “with President Jonathan’s excellent performance, he deserves re-election in a rancour-free atmosphere to further pursue more growth and development for Nigeria.”

Alhaji Dare also commended various groups that have mobilized supports for the President and the leadership of the party for adopting him as its sole candidate ahead of the 2015 polls.

Speaking further on the political situation in Kwara, he noted that PDP will win all positions in the forthcoming election stressing that, “only PDP can provide and guarantee infrastructural development for the people of the state.”

He however maintained that he decided to join the assembly to further better the lives of his constituents and also inject quality to the lawmaking process in the state house of assembly.

Dare therefore urged the people of the state especially youths to hold their destiny tight in their hands and vote for the right candidates during the polls and warned the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, as well as security operatives to discharge their duties as un-bias umpires before, during and after the exercise.
