Dara gets Kwameh Nkrumah Leadership award

Date: 2014-10-10

Former Presidential candidate of the defunct National Transformation Party, Chief John Omoniyi Dara has received the Kwame Nkrumah Leadership Award presented by West African Students' Union (WASU).

The award was presented to Dara, a governorship aspirant of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State.

At the WASU award ceremony, Togolese Udeji Emma, the Assistant Secretary General of the union, while decorating Dara said the award is not given to just anybody but to Africans who in their very moderate ways have made impact without making so much noise about themselves.

He said such recipients must have in the course of their activities in their different endeavours, touched the lives of humanity and especially those of Africans.

Dara has served in several capacities as special assistant to former Defence Minister, General Theophilus Danjuma and was adviser to Lagos State Governor. He is an astute businessman.
