Textile workers flay crude oil theft
General Secretary of the National Union of Textile Garment and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, Comrade Issa Aremu has berated the high rate of crude oil theft in the country, describing it as scandalous and unacceptable.
He said government cannot be said to have made sufficient headway from reducing the rate of stolen crude oil from 2.6million daily per barrel to 900, 000 dpb.
Aremu, who is also the Vice-President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) spoke in Ilorin, Kwara State during the opening ceremony of capacity building and skill development workshop for trade union organisers and self-employed tailors and small scale garment workers in conjunction with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES).
