Kwara United FC Technical Adviser Samson Unuanel says the technique across Nigeria football teams has greatly improved.

Speaking to Daily Trust at his team's training session where the goalkeepers were undergoing special tactics training, the former Prime FC Coach added that football just like academics requires intelligence and that is why technique is important.

"Everything that is done on the field requires technique, from scoring goals to stopping penalties, which you can see our practising with the goalkeepers now to improve their shot stopping abilities, the technical aspect of the game is now really being given attention everywhere to unlike in the past" Unuannel said.

Kwara United who were a force to reckon with in the top flight were surprisingly relegated to Nigeria National League (NNL) on the last day of last season after they forced Akwa United to a 1-1 draw in Lokoja.
