15 Arrested As Hoodlums Clash in Ilorin

There was panic in parts of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital yesterday when some hoodlums clashed in Oja-Iya/Eruda area of the metropolis.

The incident which disrupted business activities around the areas left many property including cars and motorcycles vandalised.

Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, said 15 people have been arrested in connection with the incident and that they are being “sorted out” to determine the real culprits.

He said the hoodlums vandalised several property in the course of their squabbles.

Our correspondent gathered that trouble ensued following the inability of one of the youths in the area to pay for the food he bought from a lady.

The police spokesman said adequate personnel have been deployed to restore normalcy to the affected areas.
