FRSC pledges to safeguard more lives, presents awards

In a bid to encourage staff of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to deliver their service to humanity effectively, the FRSC today organized a second quarter retreat in Ilorin to review performance in the execution of the 2014 objectives.

Speaking at the event, the Assistant Corps Mashal and Zonal Commanding Officer of RS8 which comprises Kogi, Ekiti and Kwara, Mr Denis Terrang, said the retreat was organized to enable the FRSC understand it strengths and weaknesses.

Terrang explained that the retreat would enable the command improve capacity building of officers in an effort to save more lives in the region and Nigeria at large.

Awards were presented to Kwara State Command of FRSC as best performing command, Kogi and Ekiti came second and third respectively. Awards were also given to best performing driver and best performing marshal.

Speaking on the purpose of the award, the Kwara State Sector Commander, Mrs Mary Wakawa, said the award was meant to enable officers remain commitment and serve the nation in their best capacity.
