The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has approved the appointment of new Baloguns and District Heads. In a statement by the Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Salihu Woru Mohammed, the new Balogun Ajikobi is Alhaji Issa Muhammed Jimoh Ajikobi who was formerly the district head of Ipaye. Among other appointed heads are Alhaji Salman Olarongbe Abdulkadir, the new district head of Balla in ASA local government, Alhaji Saadu Gambari as the new district head of Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government and Alhaji Isaka Yusuf, New District head of Ipaye also in Moro Local Government. While announcing the appointments, the Emir urged the Royal fathers to justify the confidence reposed in them as good ambassadors of Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State in General. He said the turbaning ceremony would hold on Friday 27th January 2012 at 9 am at the Emir's Palace. In the same vein, considering the magnificent nature of the Central Mosque, it has been imperative that the roads leading to the edifice be maintained. In view of this and in compliance with the state Government directive to the emirate council and the chairmen His royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin has directed that all the structures erected across the palace from Magaji Nda house to the end of the central mosque up to the cinema house be vacated not later than 29th of next month. The spokesperson of the Emirate who is also the Magaji Nda of Ilorin Alhaji Salihu Woru Muhammed the Emir regrets any inconvenience the decision would cause.
