Union Suspends Ultimatum to Kwara Govt

Committee of Unions of Tertiary institutions (CUTI),Kwara state chapter has suspended its 7-day ultimatum to the state government to meet its demands.

The committee at a meeting with the Special Adviser Labour to Governor, Comrade Bisi Fakayode and the Senior Special Assistant Media, Dr Muyideen Akorede promised to shelve their plan out of respect for the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulfatah Ahmed.

The Committee's Chairman, Comrade S. A Sanni said it is their hope that the government would reciprocate the gesture by responding to the agreements reached at the meeting promptly.

Responding, Comrade Fakayode commended CUTI for its maturity in suspending the ultimatum, stressing that government will do all in its capacity to uphold industrial harmony in the state.
