PDP carpets ACN over comments on Saraki
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Kwara State chapter, has faulted the allegation by the Action Congress of Nigeria ( ACN) accusing the state government of sponsoring the peoples solidarity with Senator Bukola Saraki on his invitation by the police in Lagos State.
The party, in a statement signed by its Director of Publicity, Alhaji Mas'ud Adebimpe and made available to newsmen in Ilorin said, " this erroneous impression and falsehood being speculated was not only a fallacy but imagination of the author who believes every party behaves like ACN.
"As a party, we would not allow those who are morally bankrupt and whose stock in is falsehood and blackmail to mislead the good people of our beloved state.
"First and foremost what moral justification does ACN have to have accused the ruling PDP government of alleged sponsorship, when the whole country witnessed to how all ACN states were grounded and brought to their knees when Ahmed Bola Tinubu was docked.
"Equally, it was an open secret that for the whole period that the Code of Conduct was prosecuting Bola Tinubu government's activities in all these states were paralysed all in the name of solidarity.
"It was also on record that rented and paid crowd from one of the South-west states was barred from entering the Federal Capital Territory by security agents, when it was clear that they were hired crowd.
"Ordinarily , we would not have responded to kayode Olawepo's outburst, but to avoid misinforming the unsuspecting public, it became necessary. "All those who are in Lagos did so because of their believe in the sincerity of their leader, Saraki who is always there for them."
"And as a governor, he proved to be a man of honour and integrity that believes in selfless service to the down trodden without compromising his integrity, the records are there.
"Needless to wonder why ACN could not see all these, its because the clog in their eyes was yet to be removed and that is why they believe everyone behaves like them. Its simply a case of pot calling kettle black," the statement added.
