Kwara FA boss wants better 2014

Date: 2013-12-31

The Chairman, Kwara State Football Association, Mallam Busari Ishola, has stressed the need for training of coaches and athletes to improve on their achievements in the years ahead.

Ishola called for the support of all stakeholders to ensure that Kwara United and ABS Football Clubs regained promotion to the premier league next season.

The Acting Chairman, Kwara State Sports Council, Olayinka Commander, urged the state's athletes to redouble their efforts in winning laurels for the state in 2014.

Commander made the call while addressing athletes at the presentation of certificate of excellence to athletes that won laurels for the state in 2013.

The acting chairman said the achievements of the state's athletes in 2014 would be rewarded by government.

"This award is to encourage the recipients to improve on the performance and to encourage non-recipients to double up and be rewarded in 2014", Commander said.

He commended the athletes for their great performance and urged them to sustain the tempo in 2014.
