Magazines and Newspapers Distributors' Association of Nigeria (MANDAN), Kwara State  chapter has given The Sun Publishing  Limited and six others newspapers award of excellence.

Chairman of MANDAN in the state, Evangelist Olusegun Fatunmbi, who spoke on the occasion in Ilorin, where appeal fund for the completion of the association's secretariat as well as the annual calendar were also launched, noted that The Sun Publishing Limited was considered for the award because the newspaper had contributed immensely to the development of the association.

Fatunmbi also said The Sun's management had over the years fulfilled all the commitments made to the association.

Receiving the award on behalf of management, The Sun's Sales Representative in the state, Mr. Sina Odewale promised that the The Sun would continue to assist the association as the need arises and urged MANDAN to reciprocate the company's good gesture by displaying all the company's titles to boost the sales of the newspaper, assuring that the management would always keep faith with its promises and commitments that would foster good business relationship with MANDAN.
