G7 Govs Hold 'Make Or Break' Meeting In Sokoto
The G7 governors are chief executives of Niger, Adamawa, Kano, Kwara, Rivers, Sokoto and Jigawa states.
Nyako told some leaders of Adamawa State women’s organisations who paid him a solidarity visit at Government House, Yola on Friday that the G-7 governors, who arrived in Sokoto on Frday for the meeting, are all committed to justice and fairness.
“I will be in Sokoto State Saturday where we shall conclude our talks which will determine our fate. There are seven of us; but I can assure you that we are more than that. There are others who are also fed up with the way things are being done in PDP,” Nyako said.
He accused unnamed “Abuja politicians” of fuelling the raging political crises in the ruling party following the imposition of candidates on the electorate without recourse to rule of law to serve selfish interests, thanking the women for supporting his administration and assuring them he would not disappoint them.
In reciprocation, the leaders of various women’s groups, including FOMWAN, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) and market women assured the governor of their sustained support and loyalty.
