ECWA seminary graduates 200 students
    
Evangelical Church Winning All, ECWA, Theological Seminary, Igbaja, in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, has graduated over 200 students with record of one first class.
While addressing journalists at the weekend, chairman of the Governing Board of the institution, Elder Samson Opaluwah said, "The seminary was producing workers for the Lord's vineyard. Through this, more citizens have become useful to God, society and themselves."
According to him, "The institute, which started in 1941 with 18 students as an institution of the Sudan Interior Mission now Society for International Ministries for Biblical and Pastoral Training, was established to produce committed Christians who were adequately knowledgeable in biblical studies.
"The institute was also established to produce pastors, teachers, evangelists and church administrators among others."
He appealed to the national leaders to always listen to the church in order to move forward.
Opaluwah further stressed that "ECWA Theological Seminary Igbaja, ETSI, is awarding the following degrees and certificates.
"They are in this order: three each from the women Bible School and Certificate in Pastoral Studies Class; 12 will be awarded certificate in Theology; 10 Diploma in pastoral studies, while 17 are graduating with Diploma in Theology.
"For the Bachelor of Arts degrees, we have 32 in Christian Education, 38 in Pastoral Studies, 24 in Theology and 10 in Missions. At the Master of Arts level, we have eight graduands in Divinity; 12 in Christian Education, six in Missions and Evangelism, two in Theology (Old Testament), one in Systematic Theology and 14 in Theological Studies.
"28 students are lucky awardees of the prestigious Doctor of Ministry (D. Min) Degrees. They are as follows: 14 in Church Administration, one in Pulpit Ministry and 13 in Pastoral Counselling; and we recorded one first class in B.A. Mission and Evangelism".
