Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Dr Ali Ahmad has emphasised that the 8th Assembly is poised to take care of every interest of Kwarans. Ahmad said the lawmakers bearing in mind that they are not at the House of Assembly by their own volition, every members have resolved to do the needful in order to ensure better representation for the people of their constituency.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir, the speaker while addressing students of Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Secondary School who were on a courtesy visit to the House on Thursday, pledged that the legislators would always be there for their people.

He admonished the students to always be of good morals, behaviours and conduct, stressing that they are are tomorrow's leaders and future of the nation. Ahmad encouraged the students to use their youthful period towards having a brighter future and enable them contribute positively to the nation's development.

Also, the speaker called on the public not to hesitate to approach the House whenever they have complaints for government intervention.

Speaking, the team Leader, Mr Adegboye Gabriel appreciated the Speaker for the opportunity provided for the students to learn the processes involved in law making.

He pleaded that the House prevailed on the Ministry of Works and Transport to erect speed breakers in front of the school premises, which he said was located on the main road along Asa Dam.
