The former national Vice President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) noted with delight that Kwara State House of Assembly had become a cynosure of all eyes and pacesetter for other legislative Houses in the country and enjoined it to sustain the tempo to further strengthen the nation's democratic practice.

In their seperate remarks, the State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) Comrades Yekini Agunbiade and Olumoh Nasir noted with delight how the House of Assembly under the leadership of the current Speaker successfully waded into numerous industrial disputes between the State Government and the Labour Unions and enjoined it not to compromise its constitutional power of providing a platform for good governance in the State.

Responding, the Speaker, Dr Ali Ahmad praised the Labour unions for their support and assured that the legislative arm of government in the State would not renage in its promise of being the Peoples Assembly to further make democracy more meaningful to average Nigerians.
