COVID-19: Kwara Holds Pre-Reopening Meeting with Schools
KWARA STATE MINISTRY OF TERTIARY EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HOLDS PRE SCHOOLS REOPENING STAKEHOLDERS' MEETINGS
The Commissioner, Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology (MOTEST), Hajiya Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, cordially invites both public and private tertiary institutions in the state to a stakeholders' meeting for the pre -reopening of schools in Kwara State.
The meeting becomes necessary to deliberate with stakeholders, with a view to curtailing and flattening the curve of the Corona Virus pandemic, as well as deliberate on all issues related to the reopening of Tertiary Institutions in Kwara State.
The meeting comes up in sessions as follows:
Day 1:
Monday 21st September 2020, Leaders of Students Unions of state-owned Tertiary Institutions are slated for a morning session at 10:00am prompt.
Leaders of Students Unions of Privately -Owned Institutions to attend an afternoon session at 1:00pm prompt.
Owners/Representatives of the Advanced Coaching Centres are slated for 3:00pm prompt.
Day 2:
Tuesday, 22nd September 2020, A Principal officer, The Head of Academic Planning and A representative of the Institution's Technical Committee on Covid-19 of state-owned institutions are scheduled for the morning session 9:00 am.
The Head of Academic Planning and A Representation of the Technical Committee of each private-owned Institution (Batch A, Colleges of Education), are slated for the afternoon session at 12noon.
Day 3: Wednesday 23rd September 2020, Academic and Non Academic Staff Unions of State-owned (3 per institution) are slated for the morning session scheduled to hold at 9:00m prompt
The Staff Unions of private Institutions (Two per institution) are slated for the afternoon at 12noon.
Day 4 :
Thursday 24th September 2020,
The Privately-Owned Institutions (Batch B, Universities), will attend the morning session, TIme: 10am
Privately-Owned Institutions (Batch C, Health Institutions), will attend the afternoon session at 1pm.
The Honourable Commissioner, MOTEST, Hajiya Sa'adatu Modibbo Kawu, enjoins each graoup to adhere strictly to the COVID - 19 prevention protocols as stated by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, adding that each group must take note of the day they are slated for and be punctual.
According to her, all meetings will hold at the Ministry's premises.
