Develop your land or forfeit it, KWSG warns

Date: 2012-03-28

Kwara State Government has ordered all owners of undeveloped plots and uncompleted buildings in Ilorin metropolis to commence development.

The Director General of the state Bureau of Lands, Mr. Tope Daramola, gave the order while briefing newsmen in his office on Thursday, saying that recent reported cases of unwarranted attacks on innocent people in the state had become common as the attackers have been using undeveloped plots of land and uncompleted buildings within the metropolis as their hideouts to perpetrate their evil deeds.

Daramola said the state government therefore enjoined all owners of undeveloped plots of land and uncompleted buildings in the metropolis to commence development within a reasonable time.

He added that anyone who failed to comply with the directive would forfeited his or her property to the state government.
