The Lajolo Community opposite the Kwara State Polytechnic Ilorin was thrown into a state of confusion on Monday as a yet to be identified gang attacked some members of the community.

According to an eye witness, the suspects numbering about five, armed with all sorts of dangerous weapons such as machete, knives and plough reputedly threatened two  families to either give them money or have their houses set ablaze.

One of the victims, Deacon Samuel Ayanwale Aniyinke , who is currently receiving medical attention at a hospital in Ilorin while revealing his experience, said the team removed the burglary of one of the rooms in his apartment.

He added that all efforts by his family members to draw the attention of the neighbours proved abortive because of their threat to kill if they shout.

The victim said he lost N3,500 cash and a handset to the hoodlums who inflicted machete cuts on him when they discovered that he hadn't much money on him.

The gang also reportedly visited another apartment at the neighbourhood belonging to one Alhaji Ganiyu  Iliasu where they robbed the victim of N1.5m and seven phones along with some landed documents.

Efforts to confirm the incident from the State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Femi Fabode proved abortive as at the time of going to press.
