Kwara United get fresh incentives

Date: 2013-06-05

Toyin Olokooba, the Special Adviser to the Kwara State Governor on sports told newsmen in Ilorin that the government had ordered a new 32-seater bus for the club to ease the transportation woes of the club.

He also announced that the government had also resolved to increase the sign-on-fees of the players for the season, but he did not disclose the measure of increment accruable to the players.

In a related development, the Technical Adviser of the club Samson Unuanel has resolved to improve on the club's current third placement on the League table, stating that the clubs ultimate objective is to win the League title at the end of the season.

"Presently, we are doing everything possible to strengthen and finish on top this NPFL season," He told News Agency of Nigeria.

"We have dedicated players that play week in, week out to ensure that we maintain our current form and move to the top of the League." He said.

He further commended the State Government for their support to the club at all times.

Third placed Kwara United have earned 25 points from the 15 games they have played so far this season, and travel to Bauchi to face Wikki Tourists in a mid-week NPFL Week 16 encounter.
