Kwara to Begin Second Phase of Renovation Work at Offa Hospital

Date: 2013-04-30

The Kwara State government has approved the commencement of work on the second phase of the  rehabilitation work at  Offa General Hospital.

Alhaji Ganiyu Adigun, chairman, State Community Project Monitoring Committee for Offa, said this yesterday while inspecting projects in the area.

Adigun said the approval of  the second phase was to address areas that were not included in the first phase of the renovation work.

He said Offa was the first community  to benefit from the second phase of the rehabilitation work.

“I want to assure the people of government’s commitment to ensuring that the rehabilitation work is completed as scheduled  to improve the health needs of the people. The whole essence is to bring governance closer to the people at the grass roots, especially as regards  the issue of health care delivery system,’’ he said.

Adigun commended  government for focusing on the local government area as part of its Shared Prosperity  Initiative for Strategic Development. He also lauded the Kwara State Road Maintenance Agency for the expansion of a  culvert and removal of waste from a mini-bridge at Taiwo road. (NAN)
