The Executive Chairman of Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Barrister Nuhu Lanre Daibu, was awarded most ethnically responsible SUBEB Chairman, North Central Zone for the year 2012.

Conferring the honour on Monday, the Executive Director, Centre for Ethnic and Self Value Orientation, Prince Salih Musa Yakubu, said the awardee was chosen base on his commitment to ethnical leadership, sincerity of purpose, administrative discipline, competency and upholding the ethnics and values of the Nigerian Fallen Heroes and above all zero tolerance to corrupt practices in stewardship.

He also said the gesture was aimed at identifying men and women of goodwill that their words and actions have contributed immensely to the growth of the nation.

Yakubu added that the organization is a non-profit making and non-governmental organization that aim to work hand in hand with the government.

According to him, the organization is inclined to working towards the promotion of good governance through ethnical leadership, sustainable development, enhancement of people’s participation in governance and value orientation of officers in public and private sectors of the economy.

Responding, SUBEB Chairman, Barrister Daibu said that the honour is dedicated to the students of Kwara State and the state government, saying that the award is not for him, but for the Executive Governor of the State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.
