The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board (KW-HMB) has taken delivery of five fully refurbished state hospital ambulances under the HOPE-Primary Health Care (HOPE-PHC) Project, further strengthening emergency medical response and healthcare service delivery across the state.

The ambulances, which were formally presented yesterday on behalf of Prof. Nusirat Elelu, Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, belong to the following health facilities: General Hospital, Kaiama; General Hospital, Offa; Specialist Hospital, Sobi; Civil Service Hospital, Ilorin; and Aisha Buhari Mother and Child Hospital, Ilorin.

Receiving the ambulances on behalf of the Board, the Executive Secretary, Dr. Abdulraheem Malik, expressed appreciation to His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening the state's healthcare system through partnerships and strategic investments in health infrastructure, equipment, and emergency medical services.

Dr. Malik noted that the refurbished ambulances will significantly improve patient referral services, emergency response, and access to timely medical care across the benefiting hospitals, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes for the people of Kwara State.

He also appreciated the management and staff of the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency, the HOPE-PHC Project under the leadership of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health for their collaboration and continued support towards improving healthcare delivery in the state.

The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board remains committed to ensuring that all government hospitals are equipped with the necessary resources to provide efficient, accessible, and quality healthcare services in line with the vision of the AbdulRazaq-led administration.
