Ajikobi APC Stakeholders Endorse Sholagberu for Ilorin NorthWest State Constituency Seat

Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajikobi Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, have endorsed Mallam Ahmed Bolaji Sholagberu as their preferred aspirant for the Ajikobi/Alanamu State Constituency seat ahead of the 2027 general elections, while also appealing to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to consider the ward for the constituency position.

The endorsement and appeal were made during a stakeholders' meeting held on Friday at the APC Ward Secretariat in the Abemi area, where party elders, women leaders, youth representatives, and other stakeholders convened to discuss the political future of the ward and constituency.

The stakeholders urged Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to consider Ajikobi Ward for the Ilorin NorthWest State Constituency seat in the interest of fairness, inclusiveness, and recognition of the ward's loyalty and contributions to the growth of the APC in Kwara State.

Addressing the meeting, the APC Chairman in Ajikobi Ward, Mallam Dauda Ibrahim, described Hon. Ahmed Bolaji Sholagberu as a loyal and dependable party member who has remained committed to promoting the ideals and unity of the APC at the grassroots level.

According to him, Sholagberu has consistently displayed leadership qualities, humility, and dedication to the progress of both the party and the people, noting that his aspiration reflects the collective desire of Ajikobi Ward for effective and people-focused representation.

Mallam Dauda Ibrahim also appealed to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and APC leaders across the state to give favourable consideration to Ajikobi Ward in the process of selecting the Ilorin NorthWest State Constituency candidate, stressing that such a decision would strengthen political balance, fairness, and inclusion within the constituency.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the APC Elders Forum in Ajikobi Ward, Alhaji Musa Nuhu Ajikobi, commended Governor Abdulrazaq for what he described as his impactful leadership and developmental achievements across Kwara State, particularly in Ajikobi Ward.

He said the governor has continued to demonstrate commitment to the welfare of the people through infrastructural projects, empowerment programmes, and people-oriented governance.

Other speakers at the meeting described Hon. Ahmed Bolaji Sholagberu as humble, accessible, loyal, and dedicated, adding that he possesses the qualities needed to effectively represent the people of Ilorin NorthWest State Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.

They expressed confidence in his ability to attract development and strengthen the relationship between the government and the people if elected.

Among those who addressed the gathering were the APC Elders Forum Chairman, Alhaji Musa Nuhu Ajikobi; Ajikobi Ward Women Leader, Mrs Mulikat Mahmud; Ajikobi Youth Leader, Hon. Abdulrasaq Onikanhun; Alore Omo Dada Zonal Chairman, Mallam Baba Micky; Secretary of the APC Elders Forum, Alhaji Mahmud Maiye Agbaji; and the councillor representing Ajikobi Ward, Hon. Oladipo Abubakar, popularly known as Danku.

The stakeholders reaffirmed their commitment to the continued success of the APC under the leadership of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq and pledged support for efforts aimed at sustaining peace, unity, and development within the party and Kwara State as a whole.

They also urged party leaders and stakeholders across the Ajikobi/Alanamu Constituency to support competent and grassroots-oriented individuals capable of effectively representing the interests of the people.
