PDP Aspirant Sheni Ibiwoye Unveils People First Agenda for Kwara 2027 Race
A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, Sheni Ibiwoye (SAN), has outlined his policy priorities ahead of the 2027 elections, focusing on security, economic development, and social welfare.
Speaking on Thursday during the presentation of his letter of intent to the State Working Committee of the party in Ilorin, Ibiwoye said his vision is anchored on a "People First" approach to governance.
He highlighted plans to strengthen security through a community-based framework that would involve collaboration among local stakeholders and the use of modern technology.
On economic development, the aspirant said he aims to position Kwara as a major player in agriculture and agro-processing, with initiatives designed to boost productivity and support value chains across the state.
He also outlined proposals on job creation, including the establishment of skills acquisition centres, support for small businesses, and partnerships with the private sector.
In the area of education, Ibiwoye said his plans include upgrading public schools, enhancing teacher development, and integrating technology into learning systems.
He further spoke on social welfare, noting the importance of inclusive policies that support vulnerable groups and improve public service delivery.
The aspirant also emphasised balanced development across the state, with proposals for improved infrastructure, rural development initiatives, and expanded access to essential services.
According to him, these priorities are aimed at fostering sustainable growth and improving living standards across Kwara State.
