The contractor handling the construction of Lower Garden bridge in Ilorin East Local Government Area of Kwara State, Stefan Jager Nigeria Limited has promised to adhere strictly to engineering code of ethics and specification in order to deliver a quality job.

According to the site engineer of the project, Engineer Ajayi Gbadebo, our company will work to specification and the ministry of works standard.

"Work will commence in full swing anytime from now because machines for pilling in readiness for the work would have arrived" he added.

In a response to level of work done, Engineer Ajayi said "the old culvert and its other members has been demolished, while clearing and evacuation has also been carried out to replace the culvert with a single span bridge.

However, a private medical practitioner who is also a resident in the area, Dr. Babatunde Awesu has commended the government for living up to their responsibility.

Dr Awesu urged the contractor to expedite action on the bridge to alleviate traffic and water problems in the area.
