Agbamu Community Commends Governor Abdulrazaq for Elevating Monarch to Third Class Status
The Agbamu community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State has hailed the elevation of the Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olusola Dare Fabiyi, to the position of a Third Class traditional ruler. The commendation was made in separate statements by the Secretary of the Arigbamu-in-Council, Chief Bolare Adedoyin, who also serves as the Olotu of Agbamu, and the National President of the Agbamu Community Development Association (ACDA), Jide Olabamiji.
Adedoyin stated: "The entire Agbamu community both at home and in Diaspora expressed our heartfelt appreciations to the Chairman of the Nigeria Governor's Forum (NGF) and Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for elevating our royal father, the Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olusola Dare Fabiyi to a third class status.
"This elevation is a testament of the governor's respect for the natural rulers. This gesture will also go a long way to strengthening traditional institutions. As the custodian of our rich cultural heritage and values, we appreciate the government's commitments to the respect accorded our revered monarch."
He further added: "We commended Chairman, Irepodun Traditional Council and Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, Oba Abolaji Atoloye Alebiosu for his pivotal role in ensuring seamless elevation of Arigbamu of Agbamu, to a third class status."
Adedoyin also lauded the efforts of the Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs for facilitating the recognition: "This elevation, to our community, is a testament of Arigbamu's vision, commitments and leadership qualities demonstrated towards the growth and development of our community in particular and Igbominaland in general."
Olabamiji said: "We extend our deepest gratitude to the governor for acknowledging the leadership of Arigbamu of Agbamu and approving this significant elevation.
"ACDA is truly grateful to the governor for this thoughtful approval, which reflects his respect for our community's values and leadership structure."
He also appreciated Oba Alebiosu, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, for facilitating the recognition: "It is a new day for Agbamu town."
