New Era For NOUN Alumni In Kwara As Comrade Olosun Takes Over Leadership

The Kwara State Chapter of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA) officially inaugurated its newly elected State Executive Council on Wednesday. The ceremony, held at the NOUN Ilorin Study Centre in Kulende, marks a fresh leadership phase for the body.

The event saw a strong turnout of alumni from various study centres across the state, including Ilorin, Offa, and Sobi. Representing the Centre Director, the Deputy Director of the Ilorin Study Centre, Mr. Olagbaye, congratulated the new team and urged them to work diligently to build an enduring legacy for the chapter.

In his farewell address, the outgoing Chairman, Comrade Fatai Funsho Sanni, thanked the community for their support during his tenure and advised the new leaders to prioritize unity to advance the association's goals.

The formal transition was finalized as the national body of NOUNAA administered the oath of office via a virtual Zoom session. Following the swearing-in, the new Chairman, Comrade Alhaji Muhammed Olosun, delivered his inaugural speech, expressing readiness to serve with dedication.

"The new administration is ready to work for the growth and development of NOUNAA both in Kwara and at the national level," Olosun stated. He called for cooperation from all members across the state, emphasizing that collective effort is key to achieving the association's objectives. The ceremony concluded with goodwill messages from various alumni members, all expressing optimism for the future of the chapter.
