Kwara United Coach Admits Team Failed to Convert Opportunities in Five-Goal Thriller
Kwara United head coach, Ashifat Suleiman, has attributed his team's 3-2 defeat against Barau FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to a failure to convert scoring chances.
The Harmony Boys fell 3-2 to the Maliya Boys in the keenly contested matchday 15 encounter played yesterday at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
Suleiman admitted that his team were punished for their profligacy in front of goal.
"We were punished for not taking our chances," Suleiman told Kwara United's media in his post-match reaction, acknowledging that the team created sufficient opportunities to secure a better result.
The goals were scored by:
Barau FC: Usman Maidubji, Muhd Muhad Umar, and Stanley Oganbor (match-winner).
Kwara United: JohnMark Aule and Chibuzor Ogbodo.
Kwara United will now look to bounce back when they do battle with Niger Tornadoes in their next game in Ilorin, scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025.
