This allocation spans 11 critical areas, including physical infrastructure and programme upgrades, academic staff training, ICT support, entrepreneurship, and career services.
He added that the university received N300 million for zonal interventions to execute specific projects, and a Special High Impact Project (SHIP) funding of N4 billion to upgrade facilities at the College of Health Sciences, along with N750 million for the construction of a new hostel at the college.
The UNILORIN's vice chancellor announced that 12,653 students would graduate during the convocation. The graduating class for the 2024/2025 academic session includes: 316 First Class graduates, 4,120 Second Class Upper, 5,939 Second Class Lower, 1,078 Third Class, 11 Pass degrees
He also detailed professional and health-related graduates: 175 MBBS, 94 Nursing, 36 Veterinary Medicine, 64 Physiotherapy, and 13 Diploma awardees.
In the postgraduate category, 1,520 students will receive higher degrees, comprising 182 Postgraduate Diplomas, 916 Master's degrees, 188 professional Master's, and 234 PhDs.
