Kwara's Traditional Rulers Laud Governor's Responsive Governance Amid Six-Year Milestones

Date: 2025-06-03

Traditional rulers in Kwara State have hailed the achievements of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq over his six-year tenure as remarkable, underscoring his administration's responsiveness to their concerns.

The praise was expressed during a prayer session for the governor in Ilorin, the state capital, organised by Moshood Alaka, the governor's Special Adviser on Political Affairs.

Speaking to journalists, Alhaji Kawu, Emir of Lafiagi and Elerin of Erin-Ile, and Oba Adebowale Adesoye, highlighted the governor's commitment to listening to stakeholders and addressing developmental priorities.

They acknowledged his efforts in advancing infrastructure, education, and security initiatives, stating these reflect a governance style that prioritises community welfare.

Kawu praised the governor for always supporting the traditional institutions in the state.

He said: "As leaders of the people, we are here to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the governor. He has been very supportive of the traditional institutions. He has given us a listening ear.

"He comes to us frequently for pieces of advice on issues that affect the people. He has done very well and we are here to pray for Allah's continued guidance of him in the remaining two years left to complete his tenure."
