Peaceful congresses in Kwara

The Kwara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses were held peacefully in the 193 wards of the 16 local government areas. The congresses were observed by the party's local and national observers.

The party's Director of Publicity in the state, Mas'ud Adebimpe, said the exercise was peaceful and that it was conducted within the allotted time fixed for the congresses.

Acting National Chairman of the party, Kawu Baraje who is from the state, was among the party officials that monitored the congresses.

Chairman of the Congress Committee, Kabiru Ajanah, described the exercise as "peaceful and devoid of any rancour."
