Be Your Brother's Keeper,” Kwara Govt Appeals Amid Peaceful Eid Celebrations
A delegation from the Kwara State Government joined the Muslim community on Sunday to observe Eid el-Fitr prayers, marking the end of Ramadan, with calls for unity and continued support for the administration.
Led by the Majority Leader of the Kwara House of Assembly, Hon. The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, offered special prayers for the governor's safe return and the state's prosperity.
Magaji called for continued support of Nigerians for the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq, saying: “with your support, Mr. President and the Governor are going to lead us to the promising land.”
The prayer was attended by the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman State Traditional Council Mai-Martaba Dr Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.
Also at the Eid prayers were senior officials of government; Khalifatul Adaby Sheikh AbdulQodir Muhammad Kamaludeen; Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for the Kwara State University of Education, KWSUED, Prof. Shuaib Oba Abdulraheem; retired Justice Idris Haroon; APC Chieftain Alhaji Yahya Seriki; Chairman, Ilorin South Local Government Area Abdulhameed Nuhu Podo; his counterpart in the Ilorin West LG, Shehu Abdulrahman Ladan; Chairman, Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority, Hon. Lateef Gidado Alakawa; and Dr AbdulRazaq Funsho; among other dignitaries.
The Emir congratulated all sons and daughters of the Emirate and the people of the state for the successful completion of fasting and a peaceful eld.
