New FRSC Sector Commander Takes Charge in Kwara State, Vows to Reduce Road Traffic Fatalities
According to a news report from Royal News, the Kwara State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has welcomed a new Sector Commander, CC MA Irekeola.
Upon his arrival, Irekeola was greeted by senior officers of the command. In his first address to the officers and men of RS8.1 Kwara, he emphasised the importance of their role in achieving the FRSC's corporate strategic goals, particularly in reducing the number of road traffic deaths and injuries in Kwara State.
At a parade held in his honour, Irekeola urged the officers and men to redouble their efforts in reducing road traffic crash fatalities and injuries across the state and its surroundings. He also called for a zero-tolerance approach to corruption within the ranks.
In a strategy meeting with heads of departments and units, Irekeola stressed the need for firmness and fairness in carrying out their duties. He also advised motorists to strictly follow road traffic rules and regulations to minimise the risk of accidents.
He said, “Useful ideas and suggestions from the public that can bring about a safer motoring environment in Kwara will be welcomed” Irekeola wished his predecessor well and expressed readiness to leverage the already existing synergy between Kwara Sector Command and relevant stakeholders towards delivering on the Corps mandate.
The new Sector Commander; Corps Commander MA IREKEOLA, holds a Bachelors Degree in criminology and a Masters in Transport Study.
Before his appointment, Irekeola the 21st Sector Commander in the State, was the former Sector Commander Delta state Sector Command.
