The Kwara State House of Assembly has directed Ilorin West Local Government to forward a memo to the state government, stating her readiness to construct the road network within Ifedapo community of Ita-Alamu area, Ilorin through the joint projects fund.
The House gave the directive yesterday in its recommendation on the report of its Committee on Energy, Works and Transport on a petition titled “SOS on our road” written by Ifedapo Community Development Association, Ita-Alamu area, Ilorin.
The petitioner had through the Chairman of House Committee on Energy, Works and Transport at the plenary on Thursday, October 4th, 2012 made a prayer to the legislature to prevail on the appropriate quarters in finding a lasting solution to the deplorable condition of the road.
It further stated that the road has becoming impassable thereby affecting socio-economic activities of the residents.
The House also urged the state governor to approve the construction of the road network within Ifedapo Community through joint project account with Ilorin West Local Government.
