Drug: Secondary School Leaver, 3 Others Jailed In Kwara
A Federal High Court sitting in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, has convicted and sentenced a 20-year-old female secondary school leaver, Abisola Ishola, and two others for being in possession of illicit drugs.
She was arrested alongside 30-year-old Aliyu Ismaila and Segun Gabriel at Solace Hotel in Ganmo December 27, 2023, by the NDLEA.
Abisola, Ismaila and Gabriel were caught with dried weed suspected to be hemp, tramadol, methamphetamine and other psychotropic substances.
The suspects pleaded guilty to the charges in court.
Justice Mohammed Sani sentenced Abisola to one month imprisonment with an option of fine.
Aliyu Ismaila and Segun Gabriel on the other hand, bagged six months imprisonment each.
