Youth Minister Visits Kwara State National Youth Service Camp

Date: 2023-11-29

The Minister of State for Youth Development, Mr. Ayodele Olawande, on Tuesday paid a surprise visit to the NYSC Orientation Camp, Yikpata, in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, North Central Nigeria and assured the Nigeria youth the new dispensation of hope.

He urged them to be hopeful and be poised toward realising their dreams.

According to him “if I can be appointed as an Honourable Minister, any one of you can equally be the President of the federal Republic. See yourselves beyond your present condition and levels” he further encouraged youths to rekindle their beliefs and work towards the development of the country.

He also promised to make great impact by improving the camp facilities on the orientation Camp, especially, the multipurpose Hall, which, according to him, is no longer conducive for the corps members.

The Minister remembered his NYSC days in Gombe State with nostalgia and further motivates the Corps members to embrace patriotism throughout their service year.

The Minister inspected the various camp facilities, such as the Kitchen, corps members hostels and the Clinic before his departure.

While appreciating the Minister, the State Coordinator, NYSC Kwara, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa said the Minister's visit is a pointer to the level of love he has for the Youths.

He further disclosed that the camp was the first camp the minister visited since his assumption of office.

He said the minister could be adjudged as an energised leader, vibrant enough to bring about the needed change in the lives of Nigeria youths.
