Governor's Wife Urges Nigerians to be Steadfast in God

Date: 2013-01-02

The wife of Kwara Governor, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, on Sunday urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in God and pray for peace and harmony.

She made the appeal while addressing newsmen at a special inter-denominational service held to mark her birthday at the Stella Obasanjo Multipurpose Hall in Ilorin.

"Nigerians should pray for peace in order to surmount all the challenges facing us as a nation. We should not despair; all we need to do is listen to God, believe in Him and pray for peace in our nation in 2013," she said.

Ahmed, the founder of LEAH Charity Foundation, also urged wealthy people in the society to assist the needy, to make life more bearable for them.
