Turaki condoles Iponrin community over ex-Perm Sec, Aremu's passing
The Senator representing Kwara Central in the National Assembly, Mallam Saliu Mustapha, has expressed grief over the passing on of a retired Permanent Secretary in Kwara State, Alhaji Shuaib Tunde Aremu.
In a statement issued from his media office in Ilorin, Mustapha who is the Turaki of Ilorin, said he received the news of the transition of the technocrat and distinguished son of Iponrin community of the Ilorin East Local Government Area of the State with utmost shock.
Describing the late permanent secretary as a dedicated servant of the people and pillar of support, the Kwara Central Senator said, “It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to the Iponrin community on the passing of Alhaji Shuaib Babatunde Aremu, a dedicated public servant and pillar of support to many.
“Alhaji Aremu's demise is indeed a great loss not only to his family but to the entire Iponrin Ward and Ilorin East Local Government Area.
“When he was in office as permanent secretary, the deceased exhibited exemplary character and integrity. His tireless efforts and unwavering dedication reflected in the growth and development of Iponrin Ward and by extension, Ilorin East Local Government Area.
“Alhaji Aremu was not only a respected public servant but loving and devoted family man. He left behind legacies of love, kindness, and compassion that are indelible”.
Mustapha, however, commiserated with the family, friends, Radio Kwara where the deceased served as the Corporation Secretary and acquaintances as well as Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries in the state under the leadership of Prince Ayo Fagbemi and Adualere community of Ilorin East Local Government Area, praying the Almighty Allah to forgive his inadequacies and grant him aljanat firdaus.
The Turaki of Ilorin urged the family of the the late technocrat as well as the entire Iponrin community to take cognizance of the will of the Almighty Allah on His creatures.
“During these difficult times, it is crucial we unite as a community to support his grieving family and offer them solace to endure the colossal loss.
“As we honour his memories, let us strive to advance his legacies by sustaining his work towards the progress and development of Iponrin Ward.
“To the grieving family members, I extend my heartfelt sympathy and share in your sorrow. I feel the depth of your loss, but note that you are not alone in this mournful moment”, Mustapha said.
