Organisation Urges Palliatives Sharing Committees To Be Honest
The Hijrah Organisation of Nigeria has urged those saddled with the responsibility of distributing the Nigerian government palliatives to honestly render the assignments to those affected without fear of intimidation or favoritism on the part of those would-be beneficiaries.
The organisation, under the leadership of a University Lecturer, Professor Badmas Olanrewaju Yusuf, made the call after its monthly meeting held at the organisation's Secretariat in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The organisation also congratulated the newly appointed Muslim Ministers and Commissioners, urging them ”to be good ambassadors of Islam and their states.”
It said; “As Muslims you represent Islam, and you must be of good behaviour and discharge your duties with decorum, and the fear of God. You must be good ambassadors of Islam and your states.”
On the Niger coup d'etat, the Organisation commended the Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, for towing the part of peace as the Chairman of ECOWAS in addressing the crises in the region.
According to the organisation, this would allow the President to concentrate more on addressing the internal challenges facing the Country, as promised in the pre-election campaign.
It also commended the Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Emir of Ilorin and the Chairman, of the State Traditional Council, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu Gambari for their resilience and consistency in maintaining the harmony and stability of the State.
