As political campaigns began, one of the leading opposition parties in Kwara state, Action Alliance (AA) in the Patigi local government area, collapsed the structure for the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP).

This is contained in a statement made available by the media assistant to NNPP Kwara North Senatorial Candidate, Mr. Muhammad Soliu.

While receiving the entire party structure of the Action Alliance, the NNPP Party chairman of the Patigi local government, Mr. Isiah Yahaya, and the local executive of the party received the defectors at the party's Secretariat in Kwara North.

NNPP Senatorial Candidate for Kwara North, Dr. Kolo Baba Jiya, welcomed the individuals to the fold and commended them for their belief in the party.

He also encouraged them to remain steadfast in working for the party's success in the coming elections in 2023.
