Unknown gunmen kidnap two persons in Ilorin

Date: 2022-09-02

Unknown gunmen struck on Tuesday night at Gaa Olobi community in Okoolowo area of Ilorin, Kwara State capital, and kidnapped one Kazeem Asalapa, and the wife of his son.

Spokesman of the state police command, Okasanmi Ajayi in Ilorin on Thursday, confirmed the incident.

He revealed that the two victims had been rescued.

Okasanmi, however, did not confirm whether N100m ransom demanded was paid for their release by the captors.

Sources said, “The gunmen headed for a house and met only Asalapa and his son's wife.

“Since they didn't find the husband, they abducted the two of them.”

It was further gathered that the gunmen later made contact with the family of the victims and demanded N100m ransom.
