Saraki praises Ibrahim Babangida at 80

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has eulogized former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida.

The retired General, popularly known as IBB, clocked 80 today.

In a statement on his Facebook page, Saraki wished him more years in good health to serve humanity.

Saraki said he joined others to celebrate the kindness and grace of Allah in the life of the "great Nigerian General and Statesman".

The former Kwara Governor called IBB an icon whose positive interventions at difficult times in Nigeria life have been remarkable.

"You have been a great bridge builder, a symbol of national unity, detribalised leader, an intellectual soldier, father to all, and model family man." He further thanked Babangida for leaving his doors open to Nigerians who seek his quality advice and assistance on any issue.
