Kwara State Government Releases Scorecard on Electrification

Kwara State government, in a tweet from Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed's handle (@Governor_Ahmed), this afternoon released a list of electrification projects implemented by the state government. Below is the full text of the release.

Under its Medium Term Sector Strategy (MTSS), the Kwara State Government aims to accelerate the supply of power to industries, establishments and communities by achieving a ratio of one 200KVA transformer per ten households. Despite an average monthly federation allocation of N2.3b and internally-generated revenue of N800m, the Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed administration continues to make significant progress in infrastructural development such as 800 kilometers of urban and rural roads, 190 water supply projects, rehabilitation/modernization of five general hospitals and a significant expansion of the energy supply infrastructure with the 182 electrification projects implemented so far. The Key: Strict Performance Contract implementation of the MTSS through optimal utilization of the state's modest financial resources.
