Kwara: Ex-Governor Ahmed Seeks Calm

Date: 2020-10-27

Former Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has called on residents of the state to remain calm and comply with state government regulations for public order.

In a Twitter message on Tuesday, Alhaji Ahmed expressed concern about violent attacks on public and private property in the state following anti-SARS protests. According to him, while Nigerians have rights to lawful protest, destroying the livelihoods of individuals and public property is not the solution.

Instead, the former governor advised all residents to exercise restraint since the government is tackling their grievances.
