Kwara Government reiterates readiness for participatory budgeting

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq The Kwara State Government has again reiterated its openness to transparent and participatory budgeting so as to carry the people along and allow them have input in the budgetary process in the State.

The state Commissioner for Finance and Planning, Mrs. Florence Olasumbo Oyeyemi gave this indication during a Workshop Meeting on Transparent and Participatory Budget for relevant stakeholders.

Oyeyemi appreciated the exemplary leadership of the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his passion and commitment towards ensuring that the State adopted participatory and transparent Budgeting so as to carry the people along in a budgetary process that affects them.

She noted that the budgetary process in Nigeria is being improved in terms of transparency, accountability and public participation as a potent way to identify people's challenges and address them decisively through budgetary provisions for the overall development of the State.
