Date: 2019-11-27

The National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) has honoured Professor Rauf Ayoade Dunmoye of the Political Science and International Studies Department of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Dunmoye is one of the oldest serving professors in the university. Speaking on behalf of the NAKSS, the Deputy President, Mohammed Anafi, described Dunmoye as selfless, hardworking and dedicated academic who has mentored many scholars.

Anafi said the decision to honour Dunmoye was informed by the desire to encourage other academics to imitate his "good virtues and character".

Responding, Dunmoye said he would continue to diligently discharge his academic responsibilities, saying that what he enjoyed doing best was to assist young scholars to attain the peak of their careers.

He said he regarded the honour as a special one, because he was recognized by students of his home state.
