Kwara health workers demand 100 percent salary

Date: 2019-10-16

The Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria (MHWUN) yesterday appealed to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State to pay 100 percent Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) to its members in the state.

The State Chairman of MHWUN, Saheed Muritala, made the appeal in Ilorin, the state capital before the botched delegates' conference of the union.

He said such upward review of the payment of CONHESS to 100 percent would assist the state government's plan to bring primary health care delivery under one roof across the 16 local government areas of the state.

The union added that the last administration in the state pegged payment of CONHESS to health workers in the state to 60 percent in June last year, adding that implementation was to start by July of the same year.
